Dear dancers and teachers,
Welcome to the newly reimagined IADMS Bulletin for Dancers & Teachers.
This refreshed online space has been created with you in mind - dancers, teachers and all those who care about moving, learning and supporting others in the dance sector. Whether you are in the studio every day or simply curious about how dance and health intersect, IADMS Bulletin for Dancers & Teachers is a place where research meets practice in real life.
Our aim is simple: to share insights from dance medicine and science in ways that feel accessible, relevant and immediately applicable in your practice. Too often, valuable research stays locked behind academic language or paywalls. With this publication, we hope to open those doors, translating knowledge into ideas you can reflect on, question and bring into your own work.
This new chapter has been made possible through the generous support of the Rudolf Nureyev Foundation, whose commitment to the future of dance aligns with our belief that knowledge should be shared widely and inclusively.
As a team of editors, we see this Bulletin as part of an ongoing conversation. We invite you to read, explore and engage with the content in ways that resonate with you. Your experiences, questions and perspectives matter, and are part of what gives this community its vibrancy and strength. We always welcome your comments and input - our email address is bulletin@iadms.org
Thank you for being here, and for all the ways you contribute to the world of dance.
With very warm wishes,
The IADMS Bulletin for Dancers & Teachers Editorial Team
